How Many Days in Kruger Is Enough?
Honestly, you could spend weeks in Kruger and still discover something new! But, if you're looking for a solid experience, aim for at least 3-4 days.
What Is the Best Month to Visit Kruger National Park?
It really depends on what you're after! For the best wildlife viewing, the dry winter months (May to September) are fantastic. The bush is less dense, so animals are easier to spot. If you prefer lush landscapes and baby animals, the warmer, wetter months (October to April) are great. (Just keep in mind, it can get pretty hot and humid then.)
Is It Safe to Self Drive From Johannesburg to Kruger National Park?
Yes, absolutely! The roads are generally in good condition, and it's a popular route. Just plan your trip, allow plenty of time, and take regular breaks. And of course, like anywhere, keep an eye on your belongings. Remember to plan your fuel stops, as some sections can be quite long. It's a great way to see more of South Africa!
Which Part of Kruger Is the Best to Visit?
That's a tough one, as Kruger is so diverse! The southern part is known for its high concentration of wildlife, especially the Big Five. The central region is great for predator sightings, and the north offers a more remote and wild experience. Each area has its own charm, so it depends on what you're hoping to see. If you are staying at a Bush Villa Collection lodge, you are staying in the central region of the Kruger area, and have easy access to all the regions, and day trips can be arranged.
